Learning history is better done in person and the ability to step into that history to explore it has the potential to make learning magical. By combining created world-spaces and mixed reality portals this app allows children to travel back to victorian London and discover the history of the city and it's most famous criminal, Jack the Ripper. Through investigating interactive story-lines users gain a learning experience like no other.
Developed based on an interactive recreation of Mitre Square players can move through the space, discovering clues about the murder, investigate the body of Catherine Eddows, and learn about life in Victorian Britain. With mobile XR portal and VR versions adapted from the shared core content the project provided a new generation of learning tool.
