Sugar Creative hits SXSW with Innovate UK EDGE

Sugar Creative hit SXSW2024 in Austin, Texas last week. This event, known for its unique blend of technology, film, and music, offered an exceptional platform for us to connect with global industry leaders.

Our involvement with GBIP provided unique opportunities for networking and collaboration, positioning Sugar Creative as a key player in the AR, VR, and MR sectors. Will engaged with industry leaders, explored new partnerships, and shared insights into our cutting-edge projects.

In addition to conference sessions and networking, Will also visited the Paramount+ Lodge. This immersive experience featured interactive exhibits like the U.S.S. Discovery bridge from Star Trek: Discovery and elements from HALO. It was an exciting opportunity to see firsthand how major entertainment brands are incorporating immersive technology into their offerings​.

SXSW 2024 was packed with exciting announcements, including the XR Experience, which brought together some of the most creative minds in immersive art and technology. The event showcased groundbreaking installations that pushed the boundaries of how technology can bring art to life. One of the most talked-about highlights was Netflix's tech-powered spectacle for their new sci-fi drama, "3 Body Problem," which captivated audiences with its immersive 3D scenes​.

Our participation in SXSW through Innovate UK EDGE and the GBIP program was a valuable experience, providing us with the platform to demonstrate our expertise and stay ahead in the rapidly evolving tech landscape.
