Ubisoft Partnership Announcement

We are pleased to announce a brand new partnership with Ubisoft and Hampshire Cultural Trust for the creation of a new immersive experience set in the world of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Bringing history to life in Winchester, spring 2022. A unique, immersive cultural experience, blending real action, video projection, storytelling and objects from the trust’s collections; alongside an Augmented Reality journey though Winchester in the lore of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

This experience will form part of the collaborations of the Discovery Tour: Viking Age, which is available across multiple platforms on 19 October 2021, a unique educational experience that allows players to explore and interact with the history and culture of the Viking Age world. This brand new chapter in the Assassin’s Creed educational expansion follows on from Discovery Tour: Ancient Egypt and Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece’s line, allowing players to step into the Viking era revealing stories of the past and showcasing traditions of the time. The game has been created in close consultation and collaboration with leading historians and archeologists, resulting in a  non-violent, interactive learning experience.

Working with experts across the world of gaming, user experience, history, and culture we will create a rich and multilayered gaming experience for players to enjoy and learn about the pivotal role Winchester played in the history of the United Kingdom.
